Are you ready for some football?

Start high school football season off by attending the 2009 Bayou Jamb on Saturday, August 29 at the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Malone Stadium. Six northeastern Louisiana teams will hit the turf and battle it out as thousands of fans cheer them on from the stands.

The Academy Sports Jambin' in the Stadium will begin with the gates opening at 3 p.m. The first game featuring the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers battling the Oak Grove Tigers will begin at 4 p.m.. The Rayville Hornets will take on the West Monroe Rebels at 6 p.m. The final match-up will begin at 8 p.m. with the Neville Tigers facing the Bastrop Rams.

The 2009 Bayou Jamb features more than just good football. The Louisiana National Guard NFL-Pepsi Punt, Pass and Kick contest will begin at 11 a.m., with registration beginning at 10 a.m.

Team Sports Jambin’ in the Grove will kick-off at noon. Large inflatables, games, face-painting, live music and more will keep the entire family occupied until the action starts.

This year's Bayou Jamb will again feature Tailgating in the Grove. Tailgating spots are available for $100 which includes four game tickets. Each spot purchased allows room for two vehicles. Spots must be paid for in advance. Click here for more information.
